Privacy policy
The short version: your answers never leave your device, because there is nowhere for them to go.

What we collect about your health
Nothing. The calculator is a static web page. Your date of birth, sex, height, weight and every lifestyle answer are used to run the calculation in your browser. They are never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
Your result is encoded into the share link after the # character. Browsers do not send that portion of a URL to a web server — so even our own hosting logs cannot see it. If you share the link, the person you send it to can decode it, which is the entire point.
What is kept in your browser
A few things are stored in your own browser, on your own device. None of it is sent anywhere, and clearing this site’s data in your browser removes all of it:
- Your recent results, in the same encoded form as your share link, so the site can tell your own result apart from one somebody sent you, and so the home page can show your latest clock when you come back. “Forget it on this device”, on the home page or under your countdown, removes it. If you add the site to your home screen, your phone may keep a separate copy for the icon.
- Your theme choice, light or dark, if you picked one.
- A birthday entered on the home page, briefly, so the calculator does not ask twice. It is cleared as soon as it is read.
- If you buy the Extension Plan: your Stripe checkout reference, so the plan reopens on this device, and the result you bought it for while you are at checkout.
Server logs
The site is served as static files. The web server keeps standard access logs — IP address, timestamp, page requested, user agent — as effectively every web server on earth does. These contain no health data, for the reason described above.
Analytics
We use GoatCounter, a cookie-free analytics service, to count page views and a handful of anonymous events — starting the quiz, finishing it, sharing a result, starting checkout, opening a purchased plan — in aggregate. The most an event carries is one coarse detail: which mode, which archetype name, which share button. Your result lives in the part of the address after the #, which is never sent: GoatCounter sees which page you are on, never what is on it. It sets no cookies, does not track you across sites, and never receives your answers or your date of birth.
If you join the waitlist, we store your email address and your result archetype (a single word such as “chimney”). We use it for one thing: a single email on the day the Extension Plan launches. Your answers are not included. You can unsubscribe from that message, and that deletes the record.
Payments
The Extension Plan is sold through Stripe, which acts as the seller of record and collects your payment details and email address under its own privacy policy. We never see your card details.
When you come back from checkout, our server asks Stripe one question about your checkout reference: was it paid? It keeps a record of that answer, the reference in hashed form, and a short hash of the network addresses that have opened it (to stop one purchase being shared publicly). Your answers and your result are never sent to Stripe or to our server: the plan is built in your browser.
Cookies
We set none.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR, EU GDPR and similar laws you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold. In practice that is an email address you volunteered, or the hashed purchase record described above; purchase details themselves are held by Stripe. Contact us at hello@dieometer.com.
Children
This is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
